Many mindfulness teachers report that they can become uncomfortable during sessions if one or more participants display symptoms of a possible mental health challenge. Others say that they feel they need to vigorously screen those attending mindfulness programmes and suspect that many people who might benefit are excluded.
These three courses are specifically designed to give the mindfulness teacher confidence when facing people displaying symptoms of a possible mental health challenge. They provide the opportunity to go on to become a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, although a commitment to do so is not necessary to embark on either programme. As with all Integration2104 courses, these are designed to be step on – step off – giving maximum flexibility to the self-employed or contracted teacher.
