Professional Track for Mindfulness Teachers to become UKCP Registered Psychotherapists (9605 MTsProfTrk)

For mindfulness teachers seriously committed to adding to their skills and earning power.

Teaching mindfulness to groups is a vocation and a great honour, but for many it is just one way in which they can use their skills to help others. Branching into working one-to-one, with couples or in smaller groups makes their lives richer, because it supports others more deeply.

About half of people taking this programme say that they believe they will be more confident, safer - and therefore better - teachers and facilitators with an internationally respected qualification in psychotherapy.

A large number of mindfulness teachers have approached The National Colleges Initiative saying that they would appreciate a pathway that would allow them to investigate learning more about psychotherapy without committing them to huge expense or a rigid time-programme.

With this course, mindfulness teachers can learn psychotherapy skills step-by-step without commitment, yet know that no work they do is wasted either academically or professionally since it all counts towards accreditation for courses with Bath Spa and Open Universities and to becoming a Registered Mindfulness-based Therapist, a Registered Mindfulness-based Coach and a Registered Psychotherapist.

What academic qualifications would I get?
